Pay Transparency Directive

- Compliance, HR Strategy, and Practical Implementation -

What does the EU Pay Transparency Directive require?

Pay transparency refers to the transparency and objectivity of pay practices: the system that ensures that pay for work of the same or equal value is fair, consistent, and gender-neutral. The legal basis for this is provided by the European Union’s Directive 2023/970/EU on pay transparency, which reinforces the application of the “equal pay for equal work” principle.

What does this mean in practice for companies?

  • From the 7th of June 2026, employers must disclose pay ranges, apply objective job evaluations, and address unjustified pay gaps exceeding 5%.
  • Employees will be able to view the average wages for their own and comparable job roles and are entitled to request information about the wage structure.
  • From 7th of June 2027, organizations with more than 150 employees will be subject to reporting obligations.

You don’t have to navigate this alone. We’re here to help!

Pay transparency isn’t just about compliance—it’s about a deeper organizational and cultural transformation. JobGroup’s pay transparency programs combine strategic HR expertise with personalized, people-centered support.

Mentoring Consulting

Mentoring Consulting offers a flexible, partnership-based HR consulting service for organizations that wish to develop their own pay transparency solutions with the support of a reliable professional team. We provide the methodology, the professional framework, and the feedback; you handle the implementation and the internal rhythm. Through our collaboration, we structure HR systems, strengthen managerial confidence, and establish a solid foundation for sensitive areas such as pay transparency and related communication. Mentoring Consulting is neither project management nor traditional consulting: it is a continuous professional presence that helps you ask the right questions, make informed decisions, and avoid typical HR and leadership pitfalls.

Implementation Consulting

Implementation Consulting is a comprehensive, expert-led HR consulting service designed for organizations that want to not only plan but also implement pay transparency changes on time and in a way that works. In this partnership, we lead the process: we plan, coordinate, and guide every step of the pay transparency implementation, from audits and document revisions to the design of the pay structure and support for management communication. Implementation Consulting is the ideal solution when there is insufficient internal capacity or experience to manage a complex change, and it is crucial that the strategy not remain merely a plan, but be implemented as a stable, transparent, and pay transparency-compliant system in day-to-day operations.

BérTükörXL

BérTükörXL is a consulting-grade Excel solution that automates all mandatory calculations and visualizations required by the EU Pay Transparency Directive based on the full compensation package — with no employee limit. Why did we build BérTükörXL on Excel? Because we know payroll data is one of a company’s most sensitive assets. With us, there is no cloud upload and no third-party access. BértükörXL delivers the capabilities of a complex HR software solution within the familiar and secure Excel environment — without monthly fees or complicated integrations.

BérBeszéd - VezetőiHang

An executive communication workshop designed to prepare leaders for the most challenging situations: from the psychological background to concrete response models, we provide everything needed to ensure transparency creates engagement rather than conflict. Because implementing pay transparency is not a mathematical exercise — it is a matter of trust. Even the most accurate pay structure can collapse if a single poorly answered question like “Why does that colleague earn more than me?” destroys morale.

Professional workshops

JobGroup’s Pay Transparency Professional Workshop provides practical solutions to the dilemmas faced by corporate HR professionals. The goal of the program series is to help HR leaders and professionals view pay transparency not merely as a compliance requirement, but as an opportunity for development that supports fair pay, managerial confidence, and employee trust in the long term. The workshops offer a structured, step-by-step approach, with an emphasis on real-world organizational situations, practical tools, and immediately applicable solutions.

During the webinars, JobGroup experts will explain legal requirements, practical HR issues, and managerial decision-making scenarios in an accessible manner, helping companies ensure that pay transparency leads not to uncertainty, but to predictable, transparent operations.

Downloadable materials

The downloadable materials are a collection of practical guides, templates, and checklists designed to support HR leaders and decision-makers who wish to prepare for pay transparency requirements independently and at their own pace.
